You get a private channel with a next-business-evening reply, one 60-min call per week in an evening or early-morning slot, and a written monthly review of architecture and spend. No daytime on-call, no incident response.

Access is agreed up front and scoped to the work.
Coaching is for a goal with a date on it: an AWS exam or an interview loop. You book single sessions or a pack and stop when you are ready. Mentoring is monthly, for the longer move into a solutions-architect or AI-engineering role: two calls a month and async questions in between.
Evenings and weekends. Coaching and mentoring calls run on weekday evenings between 18:30 and 21:30 CET, or at weekends. Assessment work is asynchronous, so it does not need your team in a room. For an EDP negotiation your team leads the sessions with AWS, and I brief and debrief around them in evening slots. I do not offer weekday daytime slots and I do not take incident or on-call work.
Most savings come from a few places: covering steady usage with Savings Plans or Reserved Instances, rightsizing over-provisioned instances and databases, removing idle resources, and fixing storage and data transfer patterns. The Savings Implementation Sprint works through these on your actual bill and implements the changes.

That means finding where the money goes, agreeing what to change with engineering and finance, managing commitments like Savings Plans, and keeping costs from creeping back. I also implement the changes rather than handing over a report.
The EDP, now folded into AWS private pricing (a Private Pricing Addendum, or PPA), is a contract where you commit to a level of AWS spend over several years in exchange for a discount. It is typically worth negotiating once AWS spend is above roughly €1M a year. Preparation matters: commitment level, term, credits and growth assumptions all shape the deal.
