About Me
I'm Rostyslav Myronenko, a Solutions Architect from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands since November 2022.
In my 13-year career, I went all the way from intern to Solutions Architect.
Most of this time I have been learning on my own and looking for ways to develop and grow as an IT specialist that work and work for me. My first specialization was the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Working with it, I grew to the level of Lead Software Engineer, the ability to manage teams of developers up to 15+ people and implement projects of any level of complexity at the Enterprise level.
I didn't like AEM, so I decided to change my specialization and I never regretted the lost 8 years of AEM experience. I chose AWS as my specialization. After starting to learn from scratch, in 4 years I reached 13 AWS certifications and the role of Cloud Solutions Architect with many successfully designed and delivered projects.
This path was not easy because I had to face all the obstacles that prevent the development of an IT specialist in the company - boring legacy projects, lack of development on the project or account, different views on my work and professional future with my manager, lack of understanding of my further professional growth, difficulties with rotation to another project, inability to get an official level up, and so on, and so on. All these obstacles did not stop me in the end and I believe that each of us has our paths of professional development and is worth our dream job, and we as IT specialists should not waste our professional time.
When I began to realize this belief and that it works in synergy with the right people, I consciously began to play the role of Engineering Manager as well, helping Junior Engineers develop their knowledge and skills. They quickly built careers, and at level-up assessments, they were always prepared in the best possible way and received promotions on the first try (guys and girls, if you are reading this - I am proud of you, I knew you would do well).
Unofficially, I also started helping my junior colleagues and friends grow, from Junior to Senior+ level, from the basics of steam programming in Java to managing my team and building a development process. These boys and girls grew up and now lead their teams all over the world - in Ukraine, in Canada, in the USA, in Poland (guys and girls, if you're reading this, you've come a long way).
Realizing my talent for helping people develop themselves professionally and find the right individual growth paths, I want to do this more often and for more people. As a result this has inspired me to create my program, which I called Rost CAMP - Rost Career Advisory and Mentoring Program.
